Ume Collection: The red fabrics shows the flowering of the plum tree (Ume) that signals the arrival of spring. The Ume is close to Japanese people's hearts and fills their stories, art and poetry.
The ivory fabric combines both traditonal and modern - the check Japanese pattern called Ichimatsu moyo and colourful little flowers such as rose and Ume. The checkered pattern has been used in Japan for centuries, and it became known as Ichimatsu in the Edo period named after the famous Kabuki actor, Ichimatsu Sadogawa.
This fun and colourful set would make a lovely gift for birthdays and other occasions for all ages.
