Yamato collection: The beige fabric contains some Japanese motifs such as Daruma, Samurai armer, Japanese castles etc. But also you’ll see some unique symbols called Kamon. Kamon are Japanese family crests. In Samurai times, these would be used on flags, curtains and armour. Today you’ll see Kamon on ceremonial occasions and embroidered on special kimonos.
Louis Vuitton’s famous monogram was inspired by these Japanese Kamon😉
The hexagon shape is called kikko. The pattern resembles a tortoise shell and symbolizes longevity. You’ll see various traditional Japanese patterns within the hexagons as well.
The other dark navy fabric contains the most loved Japanese motif, Mt Fuji.
